Sunday - Survivor Shock - LIVE!

Grabe na-shock talaga ako sa pagkaka-eliminate kay Mart Escudero! But before we talk about the eliminations, let’s tackle the live performances of each survivor and avenger shall we?

Ang nakaw eksena sa opening? Siyempre, ang Starstruck Bebot!


















Grabe ang ganda ni Pauline at Princess. Si Martha naman daw ang believable na babae sabi ni Lorna Tolentino. And speaking of Mart, again, he received all praises this week and yet siya ang natanggalan ng survivor spot. I’m guessing it’s because of the votes at siya pa rin ang lowest. Pero may chance pa naman si Mart dahil this week he will compete with the avengers to defend his survivor spot.


Macho Gwapito








Jan Manual, Aljur Abrenica, Dex Quindoza and Prince Stefan performed a “Macho Gwapito” sing and dance number with Jan playing the electric guitar again. Douglas Quijano likes Jan personally but he advice him to change his looks. He thinks Aljur and Prince are more confident now compared to Jan and Dex which is undestandable because lamang sa exposure ang survivors.

I think mas bagay kina Aljur and Prince ang mga kantang pang-boyband because of their heartthrob personalities. But this number was ok.


Dance Number















Actually it’s a dance-off number between Survivors Kris Bernal, Mart Escudero and Paulo Avelino and Avengers Lizzy Pecson, Lui Perez and Chad Burden. Pero ang nag-shine sa number na ito ay sina Mart and Kris na talaga namang may chemistry when they are dancing together. Notice the passion and the electricity with their dancing in the video after the jump.

Ms. Lorna Tolentino should have explained na kaya mas umangat sina Kris Bernal compared to Lizzy’s group sa dance-off dahil mas maraming lifts ang choreography nila which is NOT the avengers fault dahil hindi naman sila ang gumawa ng sarili nilang choreography…just to be fair. But in fairview again, makikita mo naman kung sino ang nagbigay ng heart and soul nila sa pagsasayaw and that’s Mart and Kris. Period.


Song Number











The number was horrible dahil hindi nakapasok si Hazel Uy sa part niya, mali ang pasok ni Jesi Corcuera although naituloy pa rin niya yung part niya, may nakalimutan si Chariz Solomon na one line sa song niya na binawi na lang niya sa sayaw. But the worst performer, hands down, was Jewel Mische dahil for the second week in a row nakalimutan niya ang lyrics in the middle of her song after niyang pumiyok and then she stopped and her face looks disgruntled. Sana binawi na lang niya sa sayaw kagaya ng ginawa ni Chariz para hindi halata.

Direk Louie Ignacio congratulates Rich Asuncion dahil sya ang Best performer according to him. Ang kinatay naman niya ay si Jesi Corcuera. Hindi man lang siya nag-comment sa pagkakamali ni Hazel and specially Jewel. In fairness, again, Jewel is hands-down the worst performer at hindi dapat si Jesi. Kahit walang kabuhay-buhay ang performance ni Jesi, at least SHE TOOK THE TIME MEMORIZING THE LYRICS of her song. But Jewel blew her number for the second week in a row.

And for the best performer, i think Stef deserves recognition for carrying the number for Jewel and Jesi. For me, she’s the best performer because aside from remembering her lyrics, her singing wasn’t all over the place.

The twist: There are 2 spots remaining in the “Danger 8″ — and these will be filled by 2 of the 6 avengers. So this means that Mart and Jesi still have a chance to become a survivor again — and Rich, Dex, Jan and Lizzy now have a chance to get back into the competition.
Next week will be all about the avengers, and voting will be only open to the 6 of them.
